Senator Alan Peter Cayetano gave financial assistance under his “Sampung Libong Pag-asa” program to the victims of two fires in Taguig.
Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano and Taguig-Pateros District 1 Rep. Ricardo Cruz met with families of the fires that hit Barangays Ususan and New Lower Bicutan on Oct. 1 and 2, respectively.
The Taguig City government distributed financial assistance to 27 families that were affected by the fires in addition to Sen. Cayetano’s financial help.
Meanwhile, the Taguig City Social Welfare and Development Office provided basic needs of the families including water, hot meals, sleeping kits, hygiene kits and family food packs.
A fire hit a condominium unit at BCDA in Barangay Ususan, Taguig on Oct. 1. The following day, another fire hit a residential area in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, razing three houses and injuring one individual.
A total of 11 families or 48 individuals were affected by the fire in Purok 1, Barangay New Lower Bicutan, according to the Taguig City Fire Station.
The injured individual was identified as Rayven Ison, 38, who suffered a laceration in the right index finger.
