Lacuna Coil to hold first solo show in Manila

Gothic metal band Lacuna Coil will be holding their first solo show in Manila.

Pulp Live World announced that Lacuna Coil will hold their “Lacuna Coil Live in Manila” show on Dec. 9, 8 p.m., at Samsung Hall at SM Aura Premiere in Taguig.

Lacuna Coil, from Milan, Italy, earned a nomination at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Award. They also received the 2012 Metal Female Voices Fest Award for the Best Album, 2016 Metal Hammer Award for the Best International Band, and 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best Live Act.

Their journey began with a hybrid of gothic, groove, and alternative sounds combined with ethereal mix of prominent guitar lines, dual vocals, and later on progressed into a heavier and darker Metal aura.

Since their debut, Lacuna Coil have recorded over 2 million record sales including their chart-smashing hit “Swamped” and albums “Karmacode” (2006), “Shallow Life” (2009), and “Delirium” (2016).

In 2019, they released the album “Black Anima” featuring darker and melancholic tracks in their attempt to dive into a more experimental territory of the Metal scene.

This year, they continued to impress their long-time and new fans as they re-recorded tracks from their best-selling album “Comalies.”

“Comalies XX” is set for release on Oct. 14 and is the band’s 20th anniversary tribute to the original album.

In 2016, Lacuna Coil co-headlined Southeast Asia’s longest running metal festival, Pulp Summer Slam, and this year, the band’s members Cristina Scabbia (vocals), Andrea Ferro (vocals), Marco Coti Zelati (bass, keyboards), Diego Cavalotti (guitars), and Richard Meiz (drums) are back for yet another set of extremely compelling Metal mayhem and revelation!

Doors to the “Lacuna Coil Live in Manila” will open at 6 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m. Tickets will be available starting at noon on Oct. 15 at SM Tickets outlets nationwide or online via www.smtickets.com.

Ticket prices are VIP (with fan signing event) - P4,500, VIP (with photo meet and greet) - P3,500 and Balcony - P2,500. Ticketing charges apply.
