Rep. Duterte turns over gym, multi-purpose building in Davao City


DAVAO CITY – Davao City Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, represented by his son, Rodrigo Duterte II, on Monday, Oct. 3, turned over a gymnasium and a multi-purpose building in Barangay Talomo here.

The building could be turned into a funeral home or "Lamayan ng Bayan" for residents who could not afford decent funeral service for their departed loved ones.

The newly built gymnasium will be used for crowd gatherings, assemblies, and activities of the barangay and other local government agencies.

Rodrigo II said he is glad to be part of the turnover of these two facilities through the efforts of his father and his staff.

Rep. Duterte also donated 10 tents to the barangay.

Chairman Engr. Bendor Calamba thanked Rep. Duterte and his staff for all the programs and projects that benefitted the barangay.

"Thank you, Congressman Duterte. Thank you, Mr. Rodrigo Duterte II and the entire First Congressional District Office staff. Rest assured that all your support to the barangay will reach thousands of people," Calamba said.

Rep. Duterte urged Barangay Talomo to take care of these two structures and tents. He thanked the barangay for its endless support to him.

His staff said more similar structures would be turned over to other areas in this city soon.
