The launching of KASIMBAYANAN which stands for Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan was held during the flag raising ceremony at the QCPD Grandstand, Camp Karingal, Sikatuna Village in Quezon City on Monday.

“This program aims to strengthen relationship of the PNP with the community and bring awareness of shared responsibility in contributing peace, order, progress and even holistic transformation of the society,” said QCPD director Police Brig. Gen. Nicolas D Torre III.

Recital of the pledge of commitment, ceremonial signing, and pinning of KASIMBAYANAN pin button were among the highlights of the event.

The program was also attended by Atty. Margarita N. Gutierrez, Undersecretary for Plans, Public Affairs, and Communication, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

“This morning is particularly significant because we have just taken a step towards strengthening the momentum of change and unity that we have initiated in the past months,” Gutierrez said.

“Today, we have witnessed the convergence of different sectors of society to come together as one and promote camaraderie toward a progressive and peaceful community,” she added.

Through the KASIMBAYANAN Program, Gutierrez said they are also promoting participatory governance by engaging church and community leaders to join their quest for peace and prosperity.

The program is also in line with President Marcos' appeal for unity, she added.
