A total of eight patrol cards and 21 motorcycles were received by the Muntinlupa police, which have yellow and blue markings.

In addition, one vehicle that was painted pink was given to the Women & Children Protection Desk (WPCD) of the Muntinlupa police and four vehicles were turned over to the city government’s Public Order and Safety Office (POSO).

The police’s new cars and motorcycles bore the Battenburg markings which are used for police and fire vehicles and ambulances in Europe so these can easily be identified.

“International standard ito na ang purpose ay para sa visibility (madaling makita) at conspicuity (madaling makilala). Disenyo, tatak at kulay ito ng emergency at law enforcement vehicles sa ilang mga bansa, karamihan sa Europa (The purpose of this international standard is for visibility and conspicuity. These are the design, marking and color of emergency and law enforcement vehicles in some countries, most of which are in Europe),” said Biazon.

The mayor said one of his programs is the high visibility of law enforcement in Muntinlupa.

“Hindi lang bilang deterrent sa mga may masasamang binabalak, kundi para sa kapanatagan ng loob ng mga mamamayan. Gusto nating maramdaman ng mga tao na 'secure' sila (Not only as a deterrent to bad elements but for the peace of mind of ourcitizens. We want people to feel that they are secure),” said Biazon.

Recently, the Muntinlupa City government installed security outposts manned by the police in different key areas in the city to enhance peace and order capability.
