Young stars deal with bad effects of social media on 'Click, Like, Share' Season 3

When it comes to fake news and fake accounts, showbiz people are perhaps the most vulnerable and have been victimized many times over.

Young Kapamilya stars shared how they deal with the negative effects of social media and being highly visible online during the mediacon of "Click, Like, Share" Season 3 which will premiere on Jan. 12, 8 pm, on the iWantTFC app and website.

Produced by ABS-CBN Entertainment and iwantTFC in association with Dreamscape Entertainment and Kreativ Den, "Click Like Share" tackles the impact of technology and internet use among the Gen Z. The show's director Andoy Ranay said while Season 1 and 2 dealt with the effects of online overuse, Season 3 talks about the effects of social media on family and relationships.

Jane Oineza

Former PBB housemate Jane Oineza noted that "poser"accounts of celebrities like her are always a problem. "Mabuti nga ngayon may verified accounts na. Sana ang mga tao ay marunong mag-fact check para ma verify talaga kung ginagamit lang ang name namin," she added.

Actor and singer Elmo Magalona agrees. "Di ko na mabilang ang poser accounts, sobrang dami. My only advice is to just be careful of these people."

Jane and Elmo team up as a couple in the "Click Like Share" episode entitled Unseen.

Vivoree Esclito

Meanwhile, another PBB alumnus Vivoree Esclito revealed how her name was used before to scam other people. Vivoree plays the role of the security guard in the CLS segment called QR Code.

Because of her bad experience, the 21-year-old Vivoree advises others to be more vigilant and not to disclose personal information. Also, victims should not be afraid to ask for help because "there are things we can't do by ourselves. We must always spread awareness para hindi ito mangyari sa ibang tao," she said.

Spreading of fake news about a certain individual or artist is another issue. On this matter, Vivoree has this to say: "You just have to rise to the occasion. Ok lang maging malungkot sa pinagdaanan mo. Talk to someone or open up to a person you trust if it makes you feel better. Most of all, always pray."

Shanaia Gomez

The other episodes of "Click, Like, Share" Season 3 are ''Repair'' starring JC Alcantara and ''Swap'' featuring Belle Mariano and Shanaia Gomez.

CLS Season 3 also casts Allan Paule, Nikki Valdez, Mark Rivera, and Bernard Palanca in the supporting roles.
