Following the massive surge of coronavirus disease after the holiday season, Pasig City has logged nearly 2,000 active COVID-19 cases as of Sunday, Jan. 9.
Exactly 1,869 cases were recorded in the city, the local government announced.

This is a weekend increase of 787 COVID-19 cases compared to the 1,082 recorded cases on Friday, Jan. 7.
Most of the cases are concentrated in Barangays San Miguel (186), Manggahan (185), Ugong (139), Rosario (132), Pinagbuhatan (112), Dela Paz (110), and Sta. Lucia (94).
