DepEd calls on personnel, stakeholders to champion a 'clean, safe, and fair' 2022 elections
In relation to the forthcoming 2022 national and local elections, the Department of Education (DepEd) reminded teachers and non-teaching personnel of the rules against electioneering, partisan political activities.

DepEd said that as stated in the Constitution and in accordance with existing rules and regulations of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), government officials and employees are “prohibited from engaging in any electioneering and partisan political activity.”
This, DepEd added, is to help ensure that civil servants are “focused on public service” and keep them from the “unpredictability” of politics.
“We would like to remind our officials, teaching, and non-teaching personnel not to engage in electioneering and conducting partisan political activity,” DepEd said.
DepEd noted that the lists of prohibited acts and excluded activities were emphasized in DepEd Order No. 48, series of 2018 (Prohibition on Electioneering and Partisan Political Activity) and its attached CSC Resolution.
“Guided by these policies, we call on our personnel and stakeholders to champion a clean, safe, and fair elections in 2022, for our children and the future of this nation,” DepEd added.
