The Makati City local government on Friday, Jan. 7, announced the guidelines for free Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) COVID-19 test of the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU).
The local government made the move due to the increasing demand for free swab testing.
According to the city government, symptomatic individuals including seniors, unvaccinated individuals, persons with comorbidities, and the indigent population will be prioritized in testing centers.
Close contacts who are symptomatic including seniors, unvaccinated individuals, persons with comorbidities, and the indigent population will be the next priority.
Residents who are manifesting any COVID-19 symptoms are advised to ask medical advice through teleconsultation at the nearest city health center.
As of Jan. 6, Makati City has 45,727 confirmed cases; 506 active COVID-19 cases; 44,232 recoveries; and 989 deaths.(Cherrylin Caacbay)
