Robredo deflects basher during Facebook live video: 'Kawawa ka naman'
It looked like presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo already knows how to deal with online bashers as she took time on Wednesday night, Jan. 5, to answer some who interrupted her Facebook live video with supporters.

Robredo often goes live on Facebook to update her followers about the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) various projects. On Wednesday night, she gave an update about her Swab Cab and Bayanihan E-Konsulta initiatives for COVID-19 response.
But bashers and online trolls seemed to think it was okay to interrupt her virtual meet-up with supporters as some posed various allegations against Robredo, including accusing her of being a show-off and throwing an old fake report about her based on a spliced video.
Audrey, one of her followers, said that trolls are hounding the Facebook live video because they were waiting for Robredo to slip so they have something to post.
“Okay ‘yun para nadagdagan ‘yung nakikinig sa atin (That’s okay so we’ll have more listeners),” she said.
A certain Fernando Ramillo, however, butted in and questioned why would anyone vote for Robredo when she hasn’t done anything for the country. He even challenged her to shout to the whole world why people need to vote for her.
“Sadyang nagmamagaling ka po (You are just showing off),” he commented.

Robredo said that at least, Ramillo was respectful by using the Filipino sign of respect “po.”
“Ang (My) suggestion ko lang hindi ko kailangan ipagsigawan kasi araw-araw naman ako nagrereport ng ginagawa ko. Nandiyan po sa (is I don’t need to shout about what I do because I report every day. It’s all there on) Facebook page,” she replied.
“Follower ka naman ng Facebook Page namin. Ano ‘yun puno ng resibo. Hindi lang puro kwento. Mayroon pang (You are a follower of our Facebook page. That’s full of receipts. Not only stories. There are even) pictures at (and) videos,” Robredo added.
When netizen Lilia Zapanta told the Vice President not to mind the trolls, she said that she usually doesn’t mind them except when they lie.
“Kasi pag nagsisinungaling sila, kailangan natin i-correct. Kasi pag hindi natin i-correct, akala ng iba ay totoo ang sinasabi nila (When they lie, we need to correct them. When we don’t correct them, others will think that what they’re saying is true),” she added.

Another basher seemed to mock the aspiring president by reviving an old fake news about her. Allegedly, Robredo multiplied 40 by four and arrived at 1,600 as the answer.
She lamented that the Facebook user seemed to believe a fake report. She said the video the netizen was referring to was spliced.
What she did say in the original video is that 40 multiplied by four and then multiplied by 10 is equal to 1,600.
“Ay, kawawa ka naman (Poor you),” Robredo told him.
