QC Vice Mayor Sotto tests positive for COVID-19

Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto announced on Thursday, Jan. 6, that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Sotto said he and his family contracted the disease and are all experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever, and body aches, according to a post on his official Facebook page.

Sotto and his family have been in home quarantine since Monday, Jan. 3.

Their close contacts have also been called to isolate and get tested.

Several members of Sotto’s staff were also advised to isolate themselves at home.

However, Sotto said the vice mayor’s office is still open and ready to serve the people despite their present limitations.
