The Department of Health (DOH) is planning to procure Pfizer’s anti-coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pill Paxlovid; authorities are asking devotees to stay away from Quiapo on Jan. 9, 2022 to observe the Feat of the Black Nazarene; and the Philippine National Police (PNP) is now helping to keep those under quarantine compliant.

These, as the number of COVID-cases continues to surge, hitting the 10,000-mark on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, and expected to increase further in the coming days.

There are also reports coming from the Department of Education (DepEd) on the status of face-to-face classes in the country amid the resurgence of COVID-19.
