Bea Gomez joins Odette relief operations in Cebu

Miss Universe 2021 Top 5 finalist Beatrice Gomez recently shared with fans details of her visit to far-flung areas in Compostela, Cebu, which have been badly affected by Typhoon Odette.

According to her, these areas did not receive any assistance due to lack of access.

Of course, she and her volunteers found a way to get there.

"I managed to celebrate my late Lola Yaga’s birth anniversary yesterday by packing and distributing 300 packs of relief goods with the help of Sir Jessie, Mama Ping, Ate Louise together with our little furry assistants Chabbie and Choco," she said.

A few days prior, Bea spent New Year's Day with the fire victims of Sitio Ypil-ypil Capitol Site, the Muslim community of Mantuyong Mandaue, and the evacuees at CICC.

"We may have so much work to do but I’m grateful to be given another year to do more projects with you to make more lives better this year. Looking forward to achieving our 2022 goals together. #BangonSugboanon #MabuhiKaCebu," she said then.

After her Miss Universe stint, Bea went straight to work together with SimplyShare Foundation Inc. and the Philippine Navy Naval Reserve Center Eastern Visayas to distribute an estimated 1000 meals to stranded passengers and truck and cargo drivers in ports around Cebu City.

"Unknown to most, there are many people who have been stranded in the ports since the onslaught of Super Typhoon Odette due to the limited number of boats, limited frequency of trips, and increased cargo prices," she shared.
