The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Wednesday, Jan. 5, inspected the hotels being used as COVID-19 quarantine facilities for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
The police conducted the surprise inspections following the issue involving the so-called "Poblacion Girl" who breached the quarantine protocols in a hotel in Makati City to attend a party, according to a DZBB Super Radyo report.
There are around 20 hotels in the city which are being used for quarantine purposes.
Col. Eleazar Matta, QCPD deputy chief for operations, said they want to ensure that the OFWs and those who are under quarantine will not escape from the facilities.
He also warned that hotel managements will be held responsible in case there will be leniency in observing protocols for the persons under isolation, the report said.
