Presidential aspirant and Manila mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday, Jan 5, reiterated that the welfare of the people is paramount over politics.

Okay na ako (I leave the campaign, the politics to them, I will just give that to them. I'm okay with that),” he said in an interview.
Basta importante, gampanan muna natin ang tungkulin natin (I will just focus on how we will keep our people safe and alive, for our people to feel secure, for them to feel that there is a government. I’m already happy with that. That’s destiny, no matter what happens. What’s important is, let's do our duty first),” he added.
Domagoso had earlier said he has no plans yet on resuming his “Listening Tour” as he is now focused on responding to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) surge driven by the Omicron variant.
Gusto naming meron kayong pasilidad, meron kayong doctor (No, I don’t really think about it. What I really want now is when you get infected, you will be treated immediately. We want you to have a facility, to have a doctor,” Domagoso said during his inspection of the Araullo Quarantine Facility on Jan. 4.
