Korean rapper B.I performs on Grammys' Global Spin
Korean rapper B.I performed on the Grammys’ Global Spin, “a performance series spotlighting artists from around the world.”
B.I is the first Korean artist to perform on Global Spin in which each episode “will feature a performance from a notable artist or group and will celebrate both the creators and their home countries.”
On the Jan. 4 edition of Global Spin, B.I performed “Nineteen,” which was broadcast on the Grammys’ YouTube channel.
“Illumined by city lights and festooned with bling, South Korean singer/songwriter B.I performs with panache. In the latest episode of Global Spin, a performance series spotlighting global music and international artists, the 25-year-old displays charisma and stage presence beyond his years while performing his song ‘Nineteen,’” according to Grammy.com.
"Leave me alone/ Been moody lately/ If it's not done my way/ We won't be able to talk. I wanna be free, I wanna be free every day," B.I sang in Korean, according to the report.
It added, “By the chorus, he envisages himself as a ‘bird thrown into a cloud,’ which takes on added weight as he performs before a jaw-dropping vista, with fluorescence reflected on a body of water.”
Grammy.com launched Global Spin last September, saying, “Global Spin is the new home for global music on GRAMMY.com, where the celebration of the genre and the international artist community is the focus.”
