DOST-FNRI's manual for renal patients now copyright registered

The manual developed by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-FNRI) seeking to benefit renal patients has been granted a certificate of copyright registration and deposit.

DOST Secretary Fortunato “Boy” T. de la Peña said the DOST-FNRI was issued the Certificate of Copyright Registration and Deposit of the Medical Nutrition Therapy for Kidney Disease (Renal Exchange Lists) on Dec. 14, 2021 from the National Library of the Philippines (NLP).

“The Renal Exchange Lists is a manual developed to assist in the dietary prescriptions and careful monitoring of the diet of renal patients,” he said.

The handbook is authored by Marilou M. Lopez-Madrid, Dr. Celeste C. Tanchoco, Hazel T. Lat, David Kenneth C. Mendoza, and Ruby D. Frane.

The handbook was published on Nov. 9, 2021.

It was registered and deposited on Nov. 26, 2021.
