'Salamat sa dagdag na views': Trillanes claps back at BBM fan who called him 'brainless'
Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV didn’t take it badly when a supporter of presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. told him he had "no brains".

Trillanes, who is gunning for a return to the Senate under opposition standard-bearer Vice President Leni Robredo’s ticket, exchanged messages with netizens during what he called his “maiden telecast“ on Facebook Sunday night, Jan. 30.
The Magdalo leader went on Facebook live for the first time to address some issues concerning Marcos’s disqualification case and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio’s recent proposal to make military service mandatory for those aged 18 and above.
“Binabati natin ulit iyong mga kasama natin ngayon gabi. Iyong isa—meron ding mga maka-BBM obviously. Sabi nya wala daw akong utak (I greet again those who are with us tonight. One of them—there are BBM supporters obviously. He said I’m brainless),” he noted.
“Palagay ko meron naman dahil mahirap mag-function ang tao kung walang utak pero salamat ho sa dagdag na (I think I have one because it is hard for a person to function without brains but thank you for the additional) views,” Trillanes said in his comeback.
The former solon also reacted to those who had good things to about him during his online event.
“Lahat din ng mga comments dito, iyong positive lang, inaano natin, inaa-appreciate at binabasa natin, nakakadagdag iyon sa ating kaaalaman din (All of the comments here, only those positive, we appreciate and read them, that also adds to our knowledge),” he said.
On Facebook, Trillanes revealed that he tested positive again for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) last week, but he said he has already recovered from the infectious disease.
Trillanes, a known critic of President Duterte and his administration, first contracted the deadly virus back in August 2020.
“Medyo mas (This is) mild ito compared doon sa (to the) first time nagka-COVID po ako (I had COVID),” he said.
“I hope everybody is also doing okay. Ngayon po (Now) it is still out there. Huwag po nating maliitin iyan COVID na ‘yan (Let us not underestimate that COVID),” Trillanes added.
