PCUP extends help to over 200 families affected by fire in Batangas
Relief assistance was given to 227 families affected by the fire that razed Sitio Bagjaoan, Barangay Wawa in Batangas City, the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) said.

“Ang patuloy na paghahatid ng relief assistance sa mga pamilyang apektado ng pandemya, mga kalamidad, at sakuna ay isa sa mga binibigyang pansin ni PCUP chairperson and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alvin Feliciano kaya naman patuloy ang pakikipagugnayan ng Komisyon sa iba’t-ibang ahensya ng gobyerno (The continued delivery of relief assistance to families affected by the pandemic and disasters is one of the priorities of PCUP chairperson and CEO Alvin Feliciano, which is why the Commission continues to partner with various government agencies),” said PCUP in a Facebook post.
The Commission added that the affected residents, on Friday, Jan. 28, received food, medicines, basic necessities, and financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Office of Senator Bong Go, and the Batangas City local government unit (LGU).
“Samantala, tutulong naman ang Komisyon sa kanilang panlipunang paghahanda o social preparation gayundin sa pag-akses sa iba pang mga programa at serbisyo ng pamahalaan na naaayon sa kanilang pangangailangan (Meanwhile, the Commission will assist in their social preparation as well as the access to other government programs and services in accordance with their needs),” said PCUP.
