Around P3.4 million worth of alleged shabu was seized during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City on Sunday, Jan. 30.
The operation was conducted by members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency - Special Enforcement Service (PDEA-SES).
Irvin John Coderis, acting Assistant Regional Director of the PDEA-SES, identified the suspect as Marion Balinas alias “Bahag,” a resident of Barangay Valenzuela, Makati City.
The police entrapped the suspect in an undercover operation held at a hotel along Kalayaan Avenue in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.
An operative of the PDEA-SES posed as a buyer and conducted the transaction with Balinas at 3 p.m.
The police recovered two plastic bags containing some 500 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P3,400,000.
Boodle money worth P1 million, two identification cards, and a pocket knife were also confiscated from the suspect.
Balinas will be charged for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
