Man jumps to death from footbridge in Muntinlupa

A man died after jumping from a footbridge in Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa on Monday, Jan. 31.

The Muntinlupa police identified the fatality through his vaccination card as Edward Nuque whose last known address was in Agsao, Magdiwang in Romblon.

According to the police, the incident happened at 3:30 p.m. on National Road in Muntinlupa.

Three witnesses told the police that they saw Nuque walk to the footbridge and then jump off.

The witnesses immediately informed a perimeter guard of a mall about the incident. The guard then sought assistance from the Muntinlupa Police’s Tunasan substation.

Personnel from the Muntinlupa City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

The Muntinlupa Police requested assistance from a team of the Southern Police District Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) in the investigation of the incident.

The body was taken to the Our Lady of Loreto Funeral Services in Taguig for autopsy.

According to the police, they will request for a copy of the CCTV footage from the MDRRMO. A CCTV camera is installed near the place of the incident.
