Blacklist head coach Kristoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza couldn’t help but draw comparison between his Sibol sidelaners Lee Howard “Owl” Gonzales and Dominic “Dominic” Soto and the M3 championship duo of Kiel “Oheb” Soriano and Edward “EDWARD” Dapadap following the former’s stellar performances in the recently concluded Sibol qualifiers.

Blacklist didn’t look like it missed the services of the two-star players as it continued its dominance to the Sibol qualifiers where it earned the right to represent the country in the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.
A huge part of that successful run was Owl and Dominic’s stellar performance which for Coach Bon Chan, a reminiscent Oheb and Edward’s gameplay.
“Parang si Oheb at edward din ang naglalaro (during the qualifiers)” said the M3 champion coach who found a gem in the two through the squad’s tryouts for their Sibol lineup.
The performance of the two came as shock to teams and fans alike especially with the two fully embracing the spotlight despite being relatively new to the competitive scene. Dominic, for one, was not even part of any amateur teams and only applied for the post by sending his stats through messenger.
“Si Owl nasa amateur na matagal na namin nakikita at napapanood. Si Dominic ay nagpasa lang ng stats sa messenger,” he shared.
The two didn’t disappoint as they jelled well with the M3 championship trio of Jonmar “OhmyV33nus” Villaluna, Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, and Salic “Hadji” Imam.
In a short amount of preparation time, they have also mastered Blacklist’s UBE strat which resulted to a smooth-sailing upper bracket run capped by a 4-1 domination of the new look Nexplay Evos in the Grand Finals.
“Nahawa na yung dalawa sa performance ng tatlo.”
