To minimize the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) transmission, St. Luke's Medical Center (SLMC) has ramped up its telemedicine and testing.

"We are continuously finding ways to ensure that suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients receive immediate medical attention," SLMC President and CEO Dr. Arturo de la Peña said.
Adult teleconsultation is available in its branches in Global and Quezon City, while pediatric consultations are exclusive in SLMC Quezon City, the hospital announced.
Meawnhile, suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients may also schedule a teleconsultation with a doctor.
"Making healthcare more accessible is important especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. These COVID-19 home services are put in place to reduce the risk of exposure to the virus and offer treatment in the most convenient way possible, so the employees can safely go back to work," he added.
De la Pena said SLMC is patients may also avail of their drive-thru, outpatient, and home service swab testing. However, those experiencing severe COVID-19 symptoms are advised to proceed to the emergency unit for immediate care.
The turnaround time of the test results varies between six to 48 hours.
