QCADAAC conducts facilitator's training for Strong Families Program
The Quezon City Anti-Drug Abuse Advisory Council (QCADAAC) conducted a facilitator's training for the Strong Families Program in the Quezon City Hall last Jan. 25-26, where a total of 20 individuals participated.
The participants were point persons and facilitators from the city's Special Drug Education Center (SDEC), Drug Abuse Preventive Education staff, and some representatives from baranggays Sikatuna and Milagrosa in QC.
The Strong Families Program, developed and launched by the United Nation's Office of Drug and Crime (UNODC), is a family-skills program to train parents/guardians on caregiving and to improve their children's mental health.
It was launched to provide adjustment-skills for families to deal with various tough situations like the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The QCADAAC said that it plans to bring the program to 142 barangays in Quezon City.
