Episode 14 of Korean drama ‘Snowdrop’ enters top 10 in the ratings anew; finale to air tonight


Korean stars Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK Jisoo’s JTBC drama “Snowdrop” has ranked in the top 10 TV shows in South Korea again.

“Snowdrop” aired its 14th episode on Jan. 29 and according to Nielsen Korea, it garnered a nationwide rating of 2.749 percent to place 10th in the top 10 TV shows for the day in the general programming cable TV based on total households subscribed to paid platforms in South Korea.

This is a slight decrease of 0.049 percentage point from 2.798 percent “Snowdrop” received for episode 13 on Jan. 23.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 14 of “Snowdrop” was watched by 665,000 people (sixth place) nationwide, slightly higher by 1,000 compared to 664,000 people (sixth place) who watched episode 13.

The drama ‘Uncle’ ranked No. 1 for Jan. 29 with a nationwide rating of 8.399 percent.

In the Seoul metropolitan area, episode 14 of “Snowdrop” got a rating of 3.18 percent to rank fifth in the top 10 TV shows, higher by 0.329 percentage point compared to 2.851 percent (seventh place) for episode 13.

Based on the number of viewers, episode 14 was watched by 338,000 people (fifth place) in the Seoul metropolitan area, up by 52,000 from 286,000 people (seventh place) for episode 13.

JTBC will air episodes 15 and 16 of “Snowdrop” on Jan. 30 to wrap up the drama.

“Snowdrop” tells the story of political conspiracy and espionage against the backdrop of the 1987 Korean presidential election and romance. In the drama, the South and North Korean governments conspire for political power.

Jung Hae-in is Im Soo-ho, a 27-year-old graduate student who is a North Korean spy sent to South Korea for a mission.

Jisoo is 20-year-old Eun Young-ro, a first year college student at Hosoo Women’s University. They meet during a group blind date after which Eun Young-ro falls in love with him.
