DSWD, LGUs provide over P300-M worth of assistance to typhoon-hit areas
Over P300-million worth of humanitarian assistance has so far been provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and partner local government units (LGUs) to “Odette''-hit families in the country.

In its latest report issued on Monday, Jan. 3, DSWD said that a total of P300,259,807.19 has so far been provided by the government agency, together with its partner LGUs, to individuals affected by the recent onslaught of typhoon Odette.
DSWD likewise disclosed that 1,851,569 families or 6,823,159 individuals from 7,828 barangays across the country have been affected by the weather disturbance.
Among the affected areas were CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol region, western Visayas, Central Visayas, eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, northern Mindanao, Davao region, and SOCCSKSARGEN. (Charie Mae F. Abarca)
