Dasmariñas, Cavite temporarily closes parks amid rising COVID-19 cases
DASMARIÑAS, Cavite – The local government unit announced the temporary closure of its parks starting Monday (Jan. 3) amid rising cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country.
Promenade des Dasmariãs, Promenade H2 Extension, and all other parks in various barangays will remain closed until further notice.
In a Facebook post, Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga said that the move aims to curb the spread of the virus in the city.
According to data from the Department of Health Center for Health Development Region IVA, COVID-19 cases in Cavite jumped from 327 on Dec. 31 to 427 on Jan. 2.
Cavite is under Alert Level 2 until January 15.
