Education Nation (EdNation), a coalition of organizations and individuals who have a common goal of pushing reforms towards quality Philippine education, launched “BET sa Balota” to serve as a guide for voters when it comes to the education efforts of those who will run in the May 2022 elections.

BET (Boto sa Edukasyon at Trabaho) sa Balota aims to “inform the public about the candidates’ initiatives, stances, and platforms specific to improving the quality of education for all Filipinos.”

The candidates will be “evaluated” based on the 10-point education agenda of EdNation which is a coalition of organizations and individuals that aims to elect leaders who will put quality education for all at the heart of the government’s development agenda.

Expected to see in the “BET sa Balota’s” posts on various social media channels are statements from candidates --- specifically what they have said so far about education, what they actually did, and the status of their promises.

In the next three months, “EdukNaman’s” social media pages will feature “Ansabe?, Anyare?, Ano raw? Ano na?” which is a series of presidential and senatorial candidates’ past pronouncements and actions, assessment of their education commitments, stances, and plans or the lack thereof, and monthly progress reports on education issues.

For “Ansabe?” series, the Presidential candidates’ baseline scorecards will be posted on the following dates: Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. (Jan.29); Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso (Jan. 30); Maria Leonora “Leni” Robredo (Jan. 31); Leody “Ka Leody” De Guzman (Feb. 1), Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao (Feb. 2); and Panfilo “Ping” Lacson (Feb. 3).

“Anyare? and Ano raw?” will commence on Feb. 7 (every Monday) and Feb. 9 (every Wednesday and Friday) respectively.

The first monthly progress report for “Ano na?” shall be on Feb. 28.
