What to expect from this Japanese luxury skincare brand

From a pop-up store which opened last quarter of 2021 to an actual Clé de peau Beauté store in the middle of this year!

If you frequent Japan or are fond of Japanese style magazines, then you are sure to be familiar with Clé de peau Beauté. Established in 1982, it's mission is to be "the key to skin's beauty" as the brand name implies.

It focuses on skin intelligence as its scientists works on discovering new ingredients and formulas that improves the skin's natural radiance. The people behind Clé de peau Beauté believe that human skin can "discern between good and bad stimuli," which means that our skin has the ability to choose good variables that would benefit our skin's health.

As we all know, the Japanese have always been very disciplined in whatever they do. And they won't release any product that they do not deem to be of the best that they can offer. Perfection has always been part of their vocabulary. And with that philosophy, they believe in bringing out one's inner beauty and radiance through their products.

Under the Shiseido group and Luxasia Philippines, Clé de Peau Beauté opened a pop-up store in Greenbelt 5 last Oct. 15. "The strategic expansion of Clé de Peau Beauté in the Philippines is to cater to increase in sophistication of Filipino consumers for luxury skin care and beauty products," it is noted in the press release.

Its offering include its Key Radiance Care that boasts of its newest ingredient, skin-empowering illuminator. This represents what skin intelligence is all about as this product assists the skin's ability to repair and protect itself. Other ingredients included are platinum golden silk extract, Japanese pearl shell extract, and Theanine that work together to lessen external aggressors such as dryness and damage from UV rays. There is also perilla extract that defends, and Angelica acutiloba extract that boosts cellular energy.

The pop-up store also has the Pro-Cleansing series that has triple skin intelligence action that cleanse, nourish, and protect. Choose from Softening Cleansing Foam, Clarifying Cleansing Foam, Micellar Cleansing Water, Skin-Refining Clay Scrub, Eye and Lip Makeup Remover, and Makeup Cleansing Towelettes.

Another one to try is their Radiant Multi Repair Oil. After working all day, we deserve some treats, right? Why not this luxurious beauty oil that smoothens skin and reduces fine lines, too! It's an all-over treatment that can be used for both the face and the body. Best applied after taking a shower.

While their makeup line is still not complete, a must-buy are their Lip Glorifiers. They keep your lips moisturized all day long, with a touch of color that lets you wear them alone or under your favorite lipsticks. And it has soothing scents of rose, honey, and peppermint, too!

The full range of products will be available in the store by mid-2022, according to the Philippine team. And, yes, they also have plans of offering facial services.
