Fully vaxxed travelers from non-visa-required countries can enter PH starting Feb. 10

The government's pandemic task force has decided to allow the entry to the Philippines of fully vaccinated travelers coming from non-visa-required countries starting February 10, Malacañang announced.

In his press briefing on Friday, January 28, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said fully vaccinated individuals from non-visa-required countries will be allowed to enter the Philippines subject to conditions.

This covers travelers who will be coming to the Philippines for business and tourism purposes but starting February 16, only fully vaccinated foreigners will be allowed to enter the Philippines.

Passengers must be holders of passports valid for at least six months. They must also have a return or outbound ticket to their country of origin or their next country of destination.

They must present the following proofs of vaccination against the coronavirus (COVID-19):

  • World Health Organization (WHO) International Certificates of Vaccination and Prophylaxis
  • VaxCertPH
  • National/state digital certificate of the foreign gov't which recognizes VaxCertPH

Children below the age of 18 are exempted from the requirement of full vaccination and providing proof of vaccination status prior to boarding.

The said passengers must follow the new arrival protocols:

  • Must have a negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to their flight to the Philippines
  • Self-monitor for symptoms instead of facility quarantine
  • Presentation of proofs of vaccinations

Meanwhile, fully vaccinated nationals are not included in the arrival quota set by the Department of Transportation and its One-Stop-Shop.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) website, nationals from the following countries are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a period of stay of thirty (30) days or less:

  • Andorra
  • Angola
  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • Argentina
  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Bahamas
  • Bahrain
  • Barbados
  • Belgium
  • Belize
  • Benin
  • Bhutan
  • Bolivia
  • Botswana

Brazilian and Israeli nationals are given 59 days stay based on existing agreements.

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding 14 days:

  • Holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative (SAR) passports
  • Holders of Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) passports

The following are allowed to enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay not exceeding seven days:

  • Holders of Macau-Portuguese passports
  • Holders of Hong Kong British passports
