DOH to distribute 40K home care kits in Metro Manila

The Department of Health (DOH) said about 40,000 home care kits will be distributed in Metro Manila for people experiencing mild symptoms of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and those under home isolation.

"The home care kits will be distributed to the 17 local governments in Metro Manila to help individuals and communities that are in most need of care kits," the DOH said in a statement on Friday, Jan. 28.

These home care kits were donated by Pitmaster Foundation, Inc., a national charitable organization, the DOH said.

Each kit contains a digital thermometer, alcohol, oral antiseptic, face mask, vitamins, medicines, and quick relief syrup packets for people experiencing sore throat, the DOH said.

"As we continuously face the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the provision of these home care kits will be helpful to Filipinos who do not have the means to have such," said Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.

"We sincerely thank the Pitmaster Foundation for donating these home care kits. The Department of Health also thanks the MMDA for its continuous support to our COVID-19 response. Truly, we are together in helping our kababayan in their time of need through these donations," he added.
