Woman yields P13.6-M shabu in Caloocan buy-bust

A woman was arrested after she yielded P13.6 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust conducted by joint operatives of the Caloocan City Police Sub-station 12 and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Caloocan City on Tuesday, Jan. 25

Police identified the suspect as Janesa Cabardo Canoy alias “Jane”, 25, a resident of Tondo, Manila.

The buy-bust operation was conducted at the corner of Langit Road and Crusher St. in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City at around 4:20 p.m.

Canoy yielded more or less 2 kilograms of suspected shabu with a market value of P13,600,000 during the sting.

A brown luxury bag, a light brown pouch containing an identification card, black smartphone, and 15 bundles of the buy-bust money were also seized from the suspect, according to the police report.

Canoy will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
