Validity of business permits, other clearances extended in QC

The validity of business permits and ancillary clearances in Quezon City will be extended to provide relief to business owners affected by the multiple lockdowns implemented in the past months, the city government announced on Wednesday, Jan. 26.

QC Mayor Joy Belmonte signed on Jan. 25 Ordinance No. SP-3084 extending the validity of business permits and ancillary clearances such as Sanitary Permits, Environmental Clearances, Tourism Accreditation Certificates, DPOS Security Clearances, Traffic Clearances, Liquor Permits, Market Clearances/Certificates, and Veterinary Clearances to July 20, 2022 if these are originally set to expire before this date.

Permits and clearances that are expiring after July 20, 2022 are valid until October 20, 2022.

The city mayor said that the ordinance was passed by the Quezon City Council led by Vice Mayor Gian Sotto in consideration of SP-3067- S-2021 that extended the deadline for the payment of business taxes, fees, and charges from January 20, 2022 (First Quarter) and March 20, 2022 (Second Quarter) to July 20, 2022 (Third Quarter).
