Parañaque LGU to start vaccination of 5-11 years old on Feb. 4

The Parañaque City government will start vaccinating children aged five to 11 on Feb. 4, Mayor Edwin Olivarez announced Wednesday.

The mayor called on the parents to pre-register their children belonging to the said age group for the “ParañaquenYO: Bakuna Para sa Younger Ones” program to protect them from COVID-19.

Olivarez said those who have already registered will be notified of their schedule of vaccination once the National Vaccine Operations Center (NVOC) releases the guidelines.

He said parents can register their children to receive vaccines at https://paranaquecity.ph/paraquenyo or if they have any questions, they can send an email to [email protected].

The mayor said the Pfizer vaccine is the only brand that was given emergency use by the Food and Drug Authority (FDA) for pediatric immunization.
