2 Koreans yield P680K shabu in Malate buy-bust

Police seized some P680,000 worth shabu from two Koreans during a buy-bust operation in Malate, Manila on Tuesday, Jan. 25.

Manila Police District (MPD) director Brig. Gen. Leo M. Francisco identified the two suspects as Je Cho Woo, 55, and Lee Jong Bum, 46, both unemployed and residing in Pasay City.

The two foreigners were nabbed by members of Malate Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (MPS-DEU) in an entrapment operation on Mabini St. in Malate at about 3:15 a.m.

Police confiscated from the suspects 100 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P680,000.

The two are presently detained at the Malate Police Station and will be presented for inquest before the Manila City prosecutor for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
