Robredo to join DZRH's 'Bakit Ikaw' presidential interview

Aspiring president Vice President Leni Robredo will show up for a presidential live interview arranged by DZRH and Manila Times.

The camp of Robredo confirmed on Sunday night, Jan. 23, that the Vice President will attend the presidential job interview dubbed "Bakit Ikaw?"

This after Robredo revealed the reason behind her initial non-inclusion in the list of confirmed interviewees.

"Ang totoo (The truth is): I was invited to an interview with DZRH, initially set earlier this month. Ipapasok na sana sa schedule ko (It was about to be added to my schedules), but we were later told it was moved. Yung bagong sched nila (Their new schedule) was already in conflict with ours, as I had other commitments lined up," Robredo said on Twitter on Sunday night.

The aspiring president was reacting to allegations that she declined the invitation for the interview.

She then expressed her willingness to participate in the presidential interviews, stressing she is always ready to show up.

"Actually puwede ako (I am available) next week. Kung (If they are) willing sila to adjust, i-set na natin (Let's set it). Handa naman ako lagi humarap (I am always ready to show up)," Robredo said.

Robredo is scheduled to appear for the "Bakit Ikaw" interviews on Feb. 2, Wednesday.
