Bongbong: Media is biased if it's 'anti-Marcos'

A biased media is a media that is "anti-Marcos," presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. believed so.

During an interview with One PH on Monday night, Marcos claimed that award-winning and veteran journalist Jessica Soho is biased because of "the treatment we received at her hands."

He did not further expound his answer. Asked what is biased for him, Marcos simply answered: "Anti-Marcos."

Marcos’ claim against Soho came when asked why he did not grant GMA News network’s invitation for him to join the presidential interviews conducted by Soho, which was aired last Saturday.

Only his rivals, vice president Leni Robredo, Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso, Sen. Ping Lacson and Sen. Manny Pacquiao participated in the interview.

Following the event, #MarcosDuwag (Marcos is coward) trended on Twitter. But the presidential candidate denied it by citing his experiences in life.

"Siguro naman sa pinagdaanan ko sa buhay ko, maliwanag namang hindi ako duwag na tao. At hindi lang ‘yun, lahat naman hinaharap ko (In my experience in life, it’s clear that I’m not a coward. And not only that, all the things that I’m facing right now)," he said.

Marcos said he is also open to joining future presidential debates as he said he "never backed out from anything."

He said he just wants to focus on talking about his plans for the country, which “the people have been waiting for,” and not about the past.
