Dingdong Dantes thanks OVP, VP Leni for COVID-19 Care Package

Actor Dingdong Dantes on Sunday thanked the Office of the President and Vice President Leni Robredo for the COVID-19 Care Package they provided after his family and household members contracted the virus recently, calling it "very, very helpful" in their recovery.

"Isa rin sa mga mahalagang natanggap namin ay iyong COVID Care Package ng Office of the Vice President," Dantes said in a Facebook video message on the last day of his quarantine.

"Napakalaking bagay noon dahil naglalaman ng kumpletong mga gamit na kinakailangan ng isang COVID positive patient. Halimbawa iyong oximeter. Siyempre noong time na iyon, nawawala iyong oximeter namin," he added.

Dantes said he didn't have to get out of his house and buy from the drugstore because all they need were included in the care package.

"Maraming maraming salamat sa OVP at siyempre kay VP Leni sa COVID Care Package na pinadala ninyo. Very, very helpful," he said.

The actor also reminded Filipinos to isolate themselves immediately after experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

Amid the rise in COVID-19 cases due to the Omicron variant, Robredo has provided Filipinos with free testing, telemedicine and COVID-19 kits.

When Typhoon Odette hit several areas of the country recently, Robredo was the first to personally inspect the damage and distribute relief goods to affected areas. She also initiated a donation drive for affected residents and committed to assist in the restoration of damaged areas.
