Vice Ganda reveals he was offered to run in 2022 national elections: 'Feeling ko puwede akong manalo'

Ace comedian Vice Ganda was offered to run for a high position in the 2022 national elections.

Vice Ganda said he was really surprised about the offer.

But for now, Vice Ganda said he is not interested in joining the political arena.

In the YouTube show of Dr. Vicky Bello, actor Derek Ramsay asked Vice Ganda if he ever thought of joining politics to help the people.

Vice Ganda: "Sa ngayon, no! Ayoko magsalita ng patapos. May nag-offer sa akin mataas na position. Naloka ako! Hindi ako magaling dun. Feeling ko puwede akong manalo dahil marami akong followers, maraming fans, maraming boboto sa akin. Pero hindi ako magaling dun so bakit ako pupunta roon? Ipapahamak ko ang Pilipinas?"

The "It's Showtime" host refused to give more details about the political offer.

In the same online show, Vice Ganda gave love and life advice to celebrities Francine Diaz, Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Guidicelli, Alden Richards, and Small Laude.

Francine Diaz: "Ano po yung best age na magkaroon ng boyfriend?

Vice Ganda: "Wala namang best age. Yung age na mature ka na, I think that's the best age. Iba iba ang sensibilities at sensitivities ng tao. May iba 30 na pero wala pa rin pinagkatandaan. I was forced to be mature, by the circumstances, to take care of myself."

Sarah Geronimo - "Ano ang pinaka challenging na situaiton na dumaan sa partner mo at paano mo ito na-overcome?"

Vice Ganda: "Ang pinaka-challenging talaga is ang lala na ng bashing. Challenge to rise above the noise. Parang the world was so noisy and distracting. Parang nalulunod na siya (Ion Perez) sa ingay. Parang yung ibang tao wanted to decide for us."

Matteo Guidicelli - "How do you keep that love alive, burning and motivating every day?"

Vice Ganda: "You just let the music play. If you turned that off, it won't play. You allow it to be on all the time. Never emasculate your partner. Never make your partner feel that he or she is dumb. Always make him fell that he is okay, he is enough. If not, aalalay ka. Tayo naman di ba, ayaw natin na mukha tayong tanga or ang sablay sablay natin. So kung ano yung ayaw natin maramdaman, dapat huwag natin iparamdam sa iba."

Alden Richards: "Would it be possible na gumawa ng movie na kasama ako?"

"Diyos ko! Tinatanong pa ba yan? Gustong gusto ko gumawa ng pelikula kasama si Alden, si Maine kung may pagkakataon. Dream yung ng maraming tao rin bukod sa akin. Sana magkasama kami. Super gusto ko si Alden at saka ang bait. Tuwing nakikita niya ako binabati niya ako. Sana Alden!"

Vice Ganda: "Yumaman ako kasi nag sipag ako at nagtrabaho ako. Basta ako I don't live beyond my means. I save the whole. Noon, yung sweldo ko sa comedy bar, every night, hindi ko kinukuha. Iniiwan ko lang muna sa kahera. Ang inuuwi ko lang tip para hindi ko magastos. Kasi pag inuwi ko yun, magagastos ko yun. Kaya yun tip ko, yun lang ang gagastusin ko kinabukasan. For the longest time, hindi ko talaga ginalaw. Noong marami na siya, that's the time I decided kung ano ang gusto kong bilhin. Hindi ako bumili ng kotse na financing. Kung wala akong pambili, hindi ako bibili. Ayoko ng utang. At nanghihinayang ako sa interest. First purchase ko is kotse. Bonggang-bongga na ako nun. Second-hand pa lang yun. Masipag sila pero mailap ang oportunidad sa kanila. Hindi naman natin puwedeng sabihin na kaya hindi sila yumayaman dahil hindi nila ginagalingan. Ginagalingan nila pero mailap din ang oportunidad. Ginalingan ko, idinasal ko. Sinuwerte rin ako sa mga taong nakapaligid sa akin. Ang daming tumulong sa akin. Kahit anong nangyayari sa mundo, marami pa rin mabubuting tao sa paligid."

Before he became a comedian, Vice Ganda said he was a singer but he lost his voice. "So kailagan kong magpatawa. I thought I was really a singer. Pero hindi pala yun ang nakatakda sa akin."

Ogie Diaz

Vice Ganda said it was talent manager-actor Ogie Diaz who helped him penetrate show business.

"He was the first person who helped me. He was always going to my gigs. I know that he likes me. He was a fan. Sinasabi naman niya yun noon. Favorite rin ako ni Doc Hayden Kho. Hihingi lang din naman ako ng tulong, doon na ako lalapit sa taong naniniwala sa akin. And Ogie believed in me. Kaya niya akong ilaban and that's what he did," he said.
