Presidential aspirant and Manila mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso believes that one of the main problems in the country was the continued conflicts among political families.

During Jessica Soho’s The Presidential Interviews aired on Saturday, Jan. 22, Domagoso said conflicts between political families in the country must stop, and that people who do not belong to political clans should also be given the chance to lead.
“Sana matigil na talaga yung pasa pasa ng politika sa mga kanilang mga kamag anak. Para naman magkaroon ng opportunity ang ibang tao na makapamili sa mga lider ng ating kanya kanyang komunidad, and particularly sa bansa (“I hope that the passing of politics to their relatives will really stop. For the people to have the opportunity to choose from the leaders of our community, and particularly the country),” Domagoso said.
“Kasi ang nangyayari, for the past 40 years parang nag aaway dalawang pamilya.... tungkol lagi sa kanilang mga buhay buhay at pamilya lamang nila at ganti-gantihan lamang ang nangyayari (Because what is happening, for the past 40 years it seems like two families are fighting....always about their lives and their family life, and revenge continue to happen),” he added.
Domagoso had previously said Filipinos deserved "to live in our present and work together for our better future".
The Manila mayor officially announced his bid for presidency in the upcoming elections last Sept. 22.
He filed his certificate of candidacy on Oct. 6.
