Park Shin-hye-Choi Tae-joon wedding photos revealed; EXO's D.O., Hongki sing at ceremony

Stars attended the wedding of Korean stars Park Shin-hye, 31, and Choi Tae-joon, 30, which was held at 11:30 a.m. KST (10:30 a.m. in the Philippines) today, Jan. 22, at Oryun Community Church in Gangdong-gu, Seoul.

Friends and family of the couple attended the ceremony. Actress Lee Sun-bin, girlfriend of former “Running Man” star Lee Kwang-soo, went to the wedding and posted photos of Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon on her Instagram account.

At the wedding ceremony, EXO’s D.O., FT Island’s Hongki, Crush and Lee Juck sang original soundtracks from Korean dramas, Korean media reported.

Park Shin-hye and Hongki both starred in the 2009 drama “You’re Beautiful” while Hongki and Choi Tae-joon appeared in the 2002 drama “Magic Kid Masuri.”

Hongki sang “I’m Saying” OST for the 2013 drama “The Heirs,” which starred Park Shin-hye, Lee Min-ho and Kim Woo-bin.

EXO’s D.O. and Crush sang “Beautiful,” the OST for the 2016 drama “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” (aka “Goblin”). Lee Juck sang his “It’s Fortunate” at the wedding.

Former news anchor turned actor Oh Sang-jin posted photos of the wedding invitation and venue on his Instagram account on Jan. 22. Oh Sang-jin and Park Shin-hye hosted the Korean variety show “Fantastic Partner” in 2007.

“Congratulations, Shin-hye. I wish you happiness forever,” Oh Sang-jin wrote.

In March 2018, Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon admitted that they had been dating since the end of 2017 after a news report came out.

"Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Jun progressed from friends to lovers and began dating since the end of last year. They give strength to each other. Please look fondly on the couple who have recently started their romantic relationship,” said Salt Entertainment then, SBS News reported.

Ahead of the wedding, Salt Entertainment, Park Shin-hye’s agency, released wedding pictorial photos of the couple on Jan. 22.

“Today, actress Park Shin-hye is getting married to actor Choi Tae-joon. Please support actress Park Shin-hye. We would like to thank everyone who gave their blessing. In the future, actress Park Shin-hye will do her best to show a good image to everyone. Thank you for your warm support,” according to the agency.

Last Nov. 23, Park Shin-hye surprised fans when she announced that she was getting married and she is pregnant with his baby.

“The weather is getting chilly these days. I am wondering if you all are taking good care of yourselves. Recently, I found the first contract that I signed with my first agency 20 years ago. I was a 6th grader back then, and I held the career of an actress in my second year in middle school. Time indeed flies as another 18 years have passed since then,” she said, according to SBS News.

She added, “So many people look after me through my youth, and thanks to their love and encouragement, I became an actress who showed you many sides of myself through various projects. There were countless times when I was happy to be in front of the camera, but when there were times that I struggled, it was my fans who gave me strength and courage. The words from you, telling me to be strong, were just enough to make me stand back up.”

“That may be all the reason why I am so nervous to tell you this news today, and I'm concerned that you may be greatly shocked. However, I wanted you all to be the first ones to find out,” Park Shin-hye said.

She added, “I am getting married to the person I have been seeing for a while now. He was my pillar of support for a long time, and he embraced the person Park Shin-hye with all of her lacking qualities. So I'm planning to start a new life with him as a married couple.”

“Furthermore, although I am a little hesitant to discuss this since it is still in its very early stages, but while we began preparing for our marriage, a precious new life came to us. I wanted to share this news to you first, most of all,” the actress said about her pregnancy.
