Mayor Isko would have remained an actor or become a seaman if politics did not beckon

Presidential aspirant and Manila mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said he would either be an actor or a seaman by now had he not decided to enter the world of politics.

“Artista, at kung hindi ako nag artista malamang seaman kasi yun yung pangarap ko, maging kapitan ng barko dati nung bata ako dahil kapag naging kapitan ka ng barko, yayaman ka e (Actor, and if I wasn't an actor, I would probably be a seaman because that's my dream, to be a ship's captain when I was a child because when you become a ship's captain, you'll be rich),” Domagoso said during Jessica Soho’s The Presidential Interviews aired on Saturday, Jan. 22.

Domagoso was known for portraying sexy roles when he was just starting out in the movie industry.

In early August, Domagoso’s sexy photos resurfaced on social media after President Duterte threw shade at the mayor for having lewd photos of him wearing skimpy underwear on the internet.

Domagoso's political career started in 1998 when he was elected as a city councilor of Manila.

The Manila mayor officially announced his bid for presidency in the 2022 national elections last Sept. 22, 2021.

He filed his certificate of candidacy on Oct. 6, 2021.
