Academy Award-winning director Bong Joon Ho, who helmed global hit “Parasite” is set to make a big screen comeback, this time collaborating with “The Batman” start Robert Pattinson.
According to reports, director Bong will be working on the adaptation of Edward Ashton’s award-winning novel “Mickey7” under Warner Bros.
The sci-fi thriller revolves around the main character Mickey7, who is the seventh iteration of Mickey, an expendable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Mickey7, who is presumed dead after his final mission, returns to the colony to come face to face with his replacement, Mickey8. The model chronicles Mickey7’s struggle to find his place in the universe before he is thrown in the recycler for protein.
Director Bong Joon Ho previously collaborated with Hollywood stars Chris Evans, Ed Harris and Tilda Swinton on “Snowpiercer” and “Okja.” He is currently working on the “Parasite” sequel and spin off.
