The Paranaque City government launched the “Resbakuna sa Botika” at The Generics Pharmacy (TGP) in Barangay Sun Valley on Jan. 21.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez thanked Sec. Vince Dizon, Presidential Adviser for Flagship Program and Projects and Robina Gokongwei-Te, president of TGP, for gracing the launching of the city government’s “Resbakuna sa Botika.”
Olivarez said booster shots will be administered at the TGP with the vaccination for first and second doses to follow.
Olivarez emphasized the importance of getting vaccinated against COVID-19 as the City Health Office (CHO) and City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported that the city’s treatment facility is now less than 20 percent occupied.
He said the city will also continue to conduct vaccinations in every barangay.
The mayor said 732, 346 residents equivalent to 140,45 percent received their first dose, 677, 976 or 130.03 percent were fully vaccinated, while112,366 received their booster shot.
Olivarez said the city government was able to vaccinate more than 12,000 individuals on Jan. 20.
