Number of people getting COVID jabs in Las Pinas City rises – Mayor Aguilar
The number of residents visiting the Las Pinas City’s vaccinations sites has increased after Mayor Imelda Aguilar issued last Jan. 6 an executive order adopting the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) resolution that limits the mobility and activities of unvaccinated individuals in the National Capital Region (NCR) due to rising COVID-19 cases and the threat of Omicron variant.
Aguilar said based on the latest report submitted by the City Health Office (CHO), a total of 554, 974 individuals received the first dose of the vaccine while 530,203 others got the second dose.
She said the total number of vaccinated individuals in the city reached 1,186, 197.
The mayor said they observed in the past days that more people came to the vaccination sites to get their jabs including booster shots.
She urged the city residents again to register and receive the vaccines for their protection against the COVID-19.
Aguilar said the city government is strictly implementing the stay-at-home policy for all unvaccinated individuals under the new alert level system.
