The Provincial Health Office (PHO) in Bulacan reported more recoveries from COVID-19 and a decline in the number of new cases.
The PHO said that as of Wednesday, Jan. 19, active COVID-19 cases in the province declined to 10,098 from 10,342 on Tuesday, January 18.

The PHO said the total number of confirmed COVID- 19 cases is 103,993 but 92,392 of these have recovered.
Three new deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,503.
Gov. Daniel R. Fernando said the slight decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in Bulacan does not mean that the province and its people should relax in its observance of health protocols “because the virus is still around.”
Fernando requested the Bulacan police, as well as the city and municipal health offices in the province, to still strictly enforce the minimum public health standards and convince those who are still unvaccinated to get their COVID-19 jabs.
The Bulacan governor said from March 8, 2021 to January 6, 2022, out of the 2,596,146 or 70 percent eligible population in the province, 1,765,762 are fully vaccinated, while117,489 individuals have already received their booster shot. (Freddie C. Velez)
