If she wins, presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo will make sure that people will be empowered sufficiently to participate in governance.

Robredo said that in the past five-and-a-half years, she has proven that her kind of leadership is one that gives mechanisms for people to become a part of the change they are hoping to see.
“And I think 'yung tao nakita ito, kaya excited lahat. Excited lahat kasi 'yung hope nila ay magiging bahagi sila ng (the people saw this, so they are excited. They are excited because their hope will be a part of the) change that is forthcoming,” she said in a pre-recorded interview aired on her Sunday radio show.
She admitted to already having a “vision” of what the Philippines will be like under her presidency.
Her vision is for Filipinos to help others and share their blessings.
“Ako (Me), very excited about it, kasi ito naman ‘yung pangarap natin, ‘di ba? Na kapag pinag-usapan natin ‘yung progress (because this is our dream, right? That when we talk about, hindi lang para sa iilan pero para sa lahat ng Pilipino (it’s not only for a few but for all Filipinos),” Robredo said.
The Vice President shared that she thought the campaign will be a “sad” one but her supporters proved her wrong.
Robredo said that she is overwhelmed every time her team goes to the field.

“‘Yung energy ng tao hindi mo talaga sukat akalain. May mga sumisigaw, sumasayaw, tumatalon, umiiyak, kumakanta—so, lahat ng emosyon mararamdaman mo (You cannot measure the energy of the people. People are shouting, dancing, jumping, crying, and singing—so all emotions you can feel) every time bumababa sa (you go to the) ground,” she said.
The conventional election is one wherein the candidates will organize the programs, but the presidential aspirant has a different experience.
Robredo praised the “creativity” of her supporters and volunteers. “Parang celebration siya (It’s like a celebration) each and every time).”

“‘Yung (The) recognition na ‘yung (is that the) 2022 elections, parang (like), it’s the fight of our lives—hindi lang ako, pero ‘yung pinaglalaban dito ‘yung (not only for me but the fight here is for the) future ng mga kabataan, ‘yung future ng mga anak natin, ‘yung future ng mga apo natin (of the youth, future of our children, and future of our grandchildren),” she added.
When she decided at the last minute to run as president, all she wanted was to present herself as an alternative candidate.
But now, Robredo believes “flood gates” were opened.
“Ito ‘yung (These) flood gates na nag-umpisa siya sa (sparked) hope, pero parang (but it’s like an) aspiration for the kind of country that we want for our children,” she said.
