Minor wanted for murder arrested in Pasay City


A 17-year-old boy tagged by the police as child in conflict with the law (CICL) and facing murder charges was arrested by a combined team from the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and Intelligence Section of the Pasay City police on Tuesday (Jan. 18).

Pasay City Police Chief Col. Cesar Paday-os said the minor, a resident of Bo. Pilipino, Barangay187 Zone 16, was arrested at about 2:30 p.m. along Figueroa St., Pasay City.

Paday-os said the suspect was arrested when he spotted by members of the WSS and the Intelligence section who were conducting Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (SCALEO) in the area.

He said the suspect was also tagged by the police as the No. 1 Most Wanted Person for the first quarter of calendar year 2022.

Paday-os said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Albert Cansino, of Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 109 with no bail recommended.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director, Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, commended the Pasay City police under the supervision of Paday-os for the sustained conduct of SACLEO that led to the arrest of lawless element tagged as the most wanted persons in the city.

Macaraeg also said the relentless efforts made by the Pasay police leading to the arrest of the most wanted person only proves that amid the pandemic, the police continue to go after lawless elements and put them behind bars.
