"Adopted rights are human rights because though they may have been bought, sold, given away, taken, stolen, imported, exported, brokered, and treated like commodities adopted persons are human beings!"

This is the quote that seasoned actress Lotlot de Leon recently shared on her social media accounts.

In the caption, the 50-year-old star pointed out that she's not ashamed of being adopted herself.

Note that Lotlot is among the four adopted children of former couple Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon, along with Matet, Kenneth, and Kiko de Leon.

She wrote: "So let’s just put this out here already! Yes I am adopted and yes I am also human! I am not a commodity, I am my own person who have feelings too. I am grateful for many things in my life."

Lotlot reiterated how grateful she is for all the good and bad things that she had been through.

"Because those are what molded me to be who I am today!," she related.

"I accept what was and what is!," she added. "I will keep on moving forward owning this life that was given to me."

She also sent a message to those who are like her.

"Never be ashamed of where you came from and your story! Continue to live your life because this is (hundred points symbol emoji) percent yours! Love those who truly love you!," she said.

"Oh and please to those who keep on discriminating ADOPTED kids, let go of the bigotry. It’s so unbecoming of a supposed “human being”!," she ended then used the hashtags "#hindiakorobot."

Of course, her dad Christopher extended his support, commenting on Instagram: "Daddy is just a phone call away."

The latter's wife, Sandy Andolong, also gave assuring words.

"Tight hug @ms.lotlotdeleon. You are loved by many especially your dad, me & the de Leon clan," it read.

Meanwhile, Nora and Christopher's only biological son, Ian, echoed Lotlot's words and sided with his sister.

On Facebook, he commented: "Let me also add to your beautiful message te.. a different perception on how we all take peoples’ criticisms about us is seeing what contents reside in their hearts and minds. Always remember, what they say or do is a reflection of their own personalities, and that shouldn’t dictate what our state of being should be like. Let us not allow external influences take control or change what and who we all are, because no one knows us and our stories but ourselves.. It is only us that have control and power to what we truly should be. I love you so much te! I will stand by you in everything."

However, a netizen reacted to Ian's comment, pointing out that he could do something and makes thing well between their family.

But Ian reiterated that everything is okay.
