
Kaohsiung Aquas star Jason Brickman and Jordan Heading of the Taichung Suns led their teams to victories over Caelan Tiongson and the Taoyung Leopards over the weekend in Taiwan’s T1 League.
Brickman played a key role in the league-leading Aquas’ 116-82 win over the Leopards on Saturday, Jan. 15 before Heading extended the woes of Tiongson’s team the following day after prevailing 119-115.
The Aquas tightened their grip on top spot in the standings with a 9-1 record after Brickman posted 17 points, four rebounds, nine assists and one steal in 38 minutes.
Heading, meanwhile, fired 32 points while adding 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals as Taichung improved to 4-5 for fourth place in the six-team field.
Taichung’s victory came a week after Heading and company beat Taoyuan by 27 points.
Both losses sent Tiongson and the Leopards down to a league-worst 1-8 slate.
Tiongson had six points, six rebounds and five assists against the Aquas before scoring just three points with six rebounds and three assists in the game opposite the Suns.
